Boba Fett week continues here at Samurai Mom...
Last week I let the kids try a bit of nigiri Moose brought home for me. (The Dr. Prescribed fish 2-3 times a week. Bless you Dr. D!) They all liked it - Commander C. not as much as the others.
So yesterday after a weary mid-day of errand running and visiting teaching Boba Fett declared that he wanted to go to the sushi place for lunch. We did.
Nutmeg and Boba Fett laid waste to Sushi Town. We ate about 9 plates. There was soy sauce every where including all over two happy faces.
In other Boba Fett news...
Last year he wanted to be a dragon when he grew up.
Earlier this summer he was fascinated by the hay fields. He enjoyed seeing the hay drying in the fields, watching it be bailed, watching them load the bales onto trucks and seeing them stacked several stories high in the hay barns on Helvatia Road. Then watching them re till the fields. he said then that he wanted to be a haymaker when he grew up.
Several weeks ago we were on our way to church when we saw the workers in the field. I pointed out that it was sad that they were working on the Sabbath. Boba Fett wanted to know why they were working on Sunday and I told him that they probably didn't know that Sunday was a day of rest. He said so sincerely "We should tell them." I nearly pulled over to let him run out into the field and proclaim the fourth commandment to the haymakers. Then I realized he might be crushed by a combine.
So, anyway back to our story. Of late, Boba Fett has chosen a new future vocation. When he grows up we wants to work at Wendy's.
