Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your long hair.

Yet another fairy tale toy, this one for Nutmeg's birthday.

The tower is made of a mailing tube, e600, scrapbook paper and Mod Podge. The roof is tape glue, staples, a cereal box and paint. The dolls are wooden dolls, pipe cleaners, wood beads, scraps of fabric and embroidery floss. Grandma Whitehouse painted the faces.
The kids especially like the fact that the prince can "climb" Rapunzel's hair.

Butterflies and Tea

I have a problem, Saturday is Nutmeg's Birthday Tea Party and I've got nothing. Well, okay, I have a loose menu and a bunch of butterflies for decorations and will be buying balloons. But I don't know where the gaggle of little girls will sit and partake of their tea nor do I know how I will be keeping them entertained and I still don't have a clearly defined theme or decorating plan.

Poor Nutmeg will probably never get a birthday party ON her actual birthday due to post holiday fatigue and this is her first one. I wouldn't be so stressed out about it if it weren't for my stellar party planning record. I have pulled off some great parties in my time. There was Liz's 21st Birthday Root Beer Kegger, and the First Annual Ghastly Gala, Commander C's Fishy First Birthday Party, and this spring there was the Spy Party.

I have standards to live up to. How can I let my little girl down for her first and my first girl party? She deserves my best effort, if only I could find it.

Someday Her Prince Will Come

Meantime she will hang out with these seven fellows.
This Petite Blythe Snow White dress had me in tears and depression Wednesday night. Thursday evening I had a new battle plan and was successful. I have high hopes for future dresses as I am narrowing in on a pattern.

The Seven Dwarfs were so simple. Originally, they were all to have beards but the first beard was so much work and looked only so-so and I decided one beard was enough. What do you think, do they all need beards?

Does anyone know where to get a 5" prince? The Blythes all want princes for dates. I would even settle for cowboys.

P.S. I need an apple about the size of a dried pea. Anyone?
