Battlefront and Lightning Strike,
and a "princess" sword for Nutmeg.
Once they arrived I purchased jewels and leather to embellish the hiltsAnd my dad spent hours one night before Christmas trying to make holes to set the jewels into (they are made of HARD wood.) He did a great job and they looked stunning underneath the tree on Christmas Eve.
They have been banished as outside toys already as they are very heavy. They will not be wearing out or breaking before my grandchildren are done with them. The children will learn to be quick and I will have to remake straps for their shields.

Oh what a fun toy! My son is currently obsessed with swords so my hubby made him some cardboard swords... this could be a good birthday gift! I love it!
All fun and games 'til somebody puts an eye out...;0)
Girl! YOu are one brave mommy! If I gave those to my kids it would include a hosiptal visit for sure. Although they are two teenagers and a nine year old...it would get ugly...vey ugly, ha! Enjoy~
